Leading on from last weeks static lift circuit on Parallel Bars we look at a Swinging conditioning circuit.
As with the lift circuit the exercise can be altered to suit and also supported where necessary. The swing I like to uses incorporates Pump swing to handstand, Front Uprise to handstand and a regular basic swing to handstand.
The gymnast should aim to achieve handstand position at the end of each repetition and remain in control of the skills showing good body shape and line throughout.
Brilliant video Ad. I particularly like this for routine training, using all of the elements to improve muscle endurance and strength. This could also simulate skills in the routine with a controlled handstand as the finish position. And then reinforcing the controlled handstand position at the end ready for the dismount is excellent.
Hello would you mind stating which blog platform you’re using? I’m planning to start my own blog in the near future but I’m having a hard time choosing between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your layout seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something completely unique. P.S My apologies for getting off-topic but I had to ask!
Hi Jack. I use WordPress.
Some genuinely nice and useful information on this website, as well I believe the layout has fantastic features.
That “Conditioning Exercise of the Week” – Swinging Circuit on P-bars | GymnasticsPlanet.co.uk – Gymnastics Blog must to be great!!
